ABOUT
About
I’m a software engineer at Bitmovin, completing my MSc in Software Engineering & Internet Computing at TU Wien. I build computer vision systems, distributed processing pipelines and GPU inference workloads. During Bitmovin’s AI Incubator, I co-built Talecut, a video platform that reached 400+ active users in three weeks.
EXPERIENCE
Experience
Junior Software Engineer Intern — Bitmovin
Vienna, Austria • Sep 2026 – Present
Software Engineer Intern — Bitmovin AI Incubator Program
Vienna, Austria • Jul 2026 – Sep 2026
- Co-built and publicly launched Talecut during Bitmovin’s 10-week AI Incubator in a team of two. The product turns long-form video into short vertical clips with automated moment selection, subject tracking and subtitles; reached 400+ active users in three weeks.
- Designed a 17-stage pipeline with Redis workers across CPU and GPU resources, shared leasing, caching, cancellation guarantees and replayable stages.
- Co-built the Python backend, React frontend and computer vision stack. Resolution testing improved throughput by 2.6× with no measured quality loss.
- Operated Kubernetes infrastructure on GCE L4 GPUs with PostgreSQL and object storage; resolved capacity shortages, GPU driver failures and read-only hosts.
- Introduced generated cross-language contracts, CI/CD, testing and run telemetry that identified scheduling as the main performance bottleneck.
- Shared branding, website and SEO work, paid acquisition, and demos to prospective clients.
Full-Stack Developer — SORSI
Guimarães, Portugal • Jan 2024 – Feb 2025
- Delivered MERN applications as the sole full-stack developer, owning the frontend, REST APIs and databases.

PROJECTS
Projects
Talecut
- Reached 400+ active users in three weeks after launch.
- Improved throughput by 2.6× through resolution testing, with no measured quality loss.
- Designed a 17-stage pipeline with shared leasing, caching, cancellation guarantees and replayable stages.
Java/Spring Rental Marketplace
- Matched multi-item requests across providers, locations and dates while preventing allocation conflicts.
- Tracked availability for individual tool units and managed bookings through their full lifecycle.
Mobile Robotics Challenge
- 1st place in TU Wien’s Mobile Robotics Challenge.
MPI Allgather+Merge on a Cluster (Bruck vs Circulant)
- Replaced a merge using a heap with a tournament loser-tree ( faster merge).
- Generalized Bruck for non-power-of-two process counts via source-rank tagging + last-round filtering.
- Circulant implementation with non-blocking comms + chunked pipelining; typically faster than Bruck in results.
Autonomous Racing (F1TENTH, ROS2)
- Placed 1st and 3rd in autonomous racing challenges (team result).
- Integrated SLAM + LiDAR perception for localization and track understanding.
- Implemented obstacle avoidance and path tracking (Pure Pursuit, Disparity Extender).
Fluid Solver Optimization (CPU, OpenMP, CUDA)
- CPU: () via loop reordering + cache tiling + compiler/ILP optimizations.
- OpenMP: peak performance around threads (, ); analyzed plateau from contention/sync effects.
- CUDA:
lin_solvekernel dominated (); achieved and minimized transfer overhead with persistent device allocations.
